RAF pilots headset.
Consisting of - a fully wired B type flying helmet, Mk III goggles and a rare D type oxygen mask.
Original, RAF D-Type Oxygen Mask with a type 21 Microphone.
This is the classic Oxygen Mask worn by Spitfire & Hurricane pilots.

The outside 'Melton Wool' fabric is in very good condition with a couple of minor pin holes under the nose and a small repair under the chin part (see photos).
The cloth bag has stitched Helmet attachment strips on either side, which are Air Ministry stamped,
It has a front microphone housing ring which is stamped 6D/117.
This is fitted with a Type 21 Microphone Unit.
Type 21 (wired) microphone, Air Ministry Ref. No. 10A/11994.
This is connected to a cotton braided type 'F' wiring Loom, Ref. 10A/7835 and early brown bakelite jack/bell plug, 10A/10991.
The Type 'C' ear receivers complete the set up and are the correct type for the D-Type mask (with B type helmet) A.M. Ref. No. 10A/7063.
RAF B-type flying helmet.
Air Ministry Ref. No. 22C/65, label stitched inside, made by Frank Bryan and dated 1939 (see photos).
The helmet outside chrome leather is in a very good 'used' condition.
The Bennett's buckle fastener's are complete and the leather chin strap retains it's metal V end piece.
With zip ear receiver coverings and a pair of rubber cushions and receivers inside.
Both ear piece zips work perfectly and both leather pullers are present.
The inside chamois leather is complete, but with some soiling. AID stamped.
RAF Mark III Goggles.
The large leather outer covered surround is in a good condition, although the inside sponge padding has gone hard. The black painted brass frames are excellent and the stitching is complete. The cellulose lenses are very good with some wear & tear. On the inside the brown felt padding is good, showing some signs of wear, as is the leather nose piece. The leather and fabric covered springs strap is very good and is Air Ministry stamped, stores Ref No. 22C/69. The springs still stretch and the fabric covering is very good.
A superb early wartime, RAF headset complete with a display head and scarf.
