RAF Mk VII flying goggles with rare flip shield.

These are an early issue set of 'original' Mk VII flying goggles with a leather 'newey' strap. Air Ministry Ref. No. 22C/826 and A.M. and kings crown stamped on the bridge. Original blue paint, which is in an excellent condition. The inner chamois leather face pad is still nice and clean, although the internal padding feels a bit hard and crusty in places. There are traces of a rubber quality control stamp on the nose part (see photo). The glass lenses are good and clear with some slight delamination. The leather newey adjustable strap is in a very good condition. The goggles are complete with the rare original wartime issue 'clip on' sun shield, and this is in a very good condition (see photos). Overall, the goggles are in an excellent condition, and they look to have seen very little use.
