RAF Irvin observer parachute pack.
This is a clip-on type of pack designed to be used with the observer parachute harness. Mainly used by bomber crews to enable them to move freely around the aircraft, without a cumbersome seat type harness to contend with. This is an Irvin airchute limited (UK or Canada) manufactured pack. Complete with parachute release D-ring handle, rear harness attachment rings, a full set of bungees, and a parachute packing. It has pre war dates stamped onto the top flap with the Irvin logo etc......In an excellent condition. A heavy item.
