RAF first aid bag

RAF first aid outfit for aircraft.

This green canvas bag would have been found in Spitfire and Hurricane fighters, plus in most other types of wartime RAF aircraft. It contained  first aid equipment for treating injuries to pilots and aircrew.

The bag size is 8 x 8" with a top flap fastened by a webbing strap and brass buckle. Stamped Air Ministry & Kings crown and dated 1943. This bag is the later pattern without the interior divider.
