This is a delightful long shawl or stole from the Spitalfields weavers of London. It dates to about 1810.
It is in a smokey blue and has woven rose heads in rows at each end.
These shawls were high fashion in jewel colours, and were produced during the first quarter of the 19th century.
Very collectable, but can also be gently used. The condition is very good, soft and fluid.
Measurements: 88" in length x 17" wide
