Dimensions:
A Sunderland, pink lustre jug decorated with transfer prints of a ship and the "Sailors Farewell". This is a nice quality jug and the prints are coloured with bright enamels. The verse has been applied in two sections, which don't quite meet up properly, making it difficult to read, but it is a well know verse. The piece dates from c.1830 and it is in excellent condition. The prints and the lustre are all still very bright. There is blue speckling to the inside of the jug but this is just from the cobalt in the glaze.
