Kitchen knife with handle shaped as a leg

An interesting, 19th century, steel kitchen knife. The handle of this knife is made from brass and horn, with the horn forming a leg and the brass forming the boot. It is beautifully made and it dates from c.1860. The steel blade has seen plenty of use but it is still very sharp and it could be used. There is slight pitting to the steel blade and there are two small cracks to the horn cladding on one side of the handle.
