An unusual, and very attractive, 19th century, French cast iron and brass coffee mill. This bears no manufacturers marks and it is a design that we have not seen before. It dates from c.1860. The cast iron sides to the mill are a delightful design incorporating flowers, classical scrolls and shells and this sits onto a wooden base with the draw into which the coffee falls once ground. This is an interesting piece, in excellent condition and full working order. The only faults are two splits in the base of the wooden box section.
