Thirteen of the plates, the vegetable dish, and the serving dish with handle, are dated 1874, the other plate dates from1884. The two oval dishes date from 1870 and 1871. So the bulk of the service would have been purchased together and then other odd items have been added throughout its’ life. The designs are very colourful and attractive and, as a set, it is quite impressive. One plate has a small hairline crack to the rim and another has a small chip to the reverse. All other items are in good condition. There is wear to the ochre rims on a number of the plates but this can be seen in the images. Each plate is 25.5cm diameter.
