Small Teapot

SOLD

Code: E18344

Dimensions:

W: 16.5cm (6.5")H: 9cm (3.5")D: 10.2cm (4")

A small, Wedgwood, dark blue jasperware teapot.  This is a particularly small example and it would probably only hold one good sized cup. It has impressed marks to the base and these include 'WEDGWOOD' , a letter 'W' and a number '42'. The number would be the batch number and the piece dates from c. 1880. It is decorated with a continuous band of classical figures, in relief, against the blue dipped ground. There are bands of foliate reliefs around the spout, the handle and also the rim of the lid. There are some very small firing lines in the reliefs but other than that both the pot and lid are in very good condition.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £10.  Western Europe add £5.
