Graduated Set of Kettles

SOLD

Code: E18071

A good, graduated set of four Victorian copper kettles. This is a well matched set and each kettle has brass fittings. They have brass, acorn shaped finials, brass handles and brass rims to the kettles. They are all well made, from a heavy gauge of copper and they all have castellated seams. The largest kettle is 38cm. high by 38cm wide by 27cm. diameter. It is marked with the letter 'S' to the base. It also has the mark of Edward Villers Wilkes to the side of the spout but this is quite worn. The second to largest is 32cm. high by 33.5cm. wide by 23cm. diameter.  The next is 28cm. high by 28.5cm. wide by 20cm. diameter and the smallest is 26cm. high by 25.5cm. wide by 17.5cm. diameter. They date between 1860 and 1880. There are the odd very small dents to the copper but overall they are all in very good condition. All four are also in usable condition. They have not been re-tinned but the tinning is still quite serviceable.
