A reclaimed original brass right hand rim lock likely to date to the late Georgian era. The lock has a traditional design and is well made. The lock has a slide bolt that is operated by pushing a small handle. The lock has been paired with iron keep that has been painted black. The lock has a very nice antique appearance with good patina. The lock has three holes for fixing screws, to be supplied by purchaser. The lock is in good working order with some character signs of age as expected. The brass has some patina, scratches, discolouration and tarnish. The iron receiver has some chips to the paint ands some surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The lock is a fine example of antique craftsmanship and is a nice item for a home or collector of antique locks.
