M1739 A RECLAIMED BRASS RIGHT HAND RIM LOCK, KEEP AND HANDLES

Code: M1739

SOLD

A reclaimed right hand brass rim lock, receiver and handles dating to C.1925-1930. The rim lock has a very nice appearance and the brass has been polished and has a high shine finish. The lock is in working order and is right hand sided when you open the door towards you. Please note, the lock does not have a key but a locksmith might be able to make you one, should you require it. The lock has a brass keep that appears to have been made from another matching rim lock. The lock is paired with brass handles, bar and all screws needed. The bar for handles has two holes so the width can be adjusted to accommodate the door thickness. At present the widest setting is to accommodate a 3.4cm thick door but there might be room to make another hole on the bar for a slightly thicker door. You could make another hole or ask us and we can do this, included in the price. Please check with us that there is room on the bar enough to make a hole to accommodate the size of your door. The lock is in very good reclaimed condition with some small signs of age, as expected. There are some light scratches and marks. The handle bar has some tarnish but it will not be seen. The back has some tarnish and residue paint. Please see pictures for condition details. The lock is a lovely item for adding period character to a door.
