An elegant, reclaimed, painted pine door with glazed panels for internal or external use. The door is likely to date to C.1920 and is solid and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door has a very nice design with a large raised and fielded panel on each side and gunstock stiles. The top half of the door has sixteen panels, glazed with the original clear glass with character faults. The first eight panels, at least, will not meet current safety standards. Purchaser must ensure ALL GLASS meets safety requirements and either change the glass or apply a safety film if it does not. We can quote to re-glaze the door for an extra charge or have a clear safety film applied to the glass to meet requirements. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has lock for interior use, with key but the door could be converted for external use by purchaser, if desired, please contact us if you need any advice about this. The door is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The door has some knocks and chips, mainly to the edges and corners. There are some holes and marks left from hardware removal. The paint has some knocks and marks and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint the door to suit. The hinges have paint and surface rust. The door height and width may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a very nice item that would suit both period and modern properties, making it a desirable item for the home.
