A reclaimed, decorative, elegant carved pine fire surround. The surround is a vintage reproduction of traditional designs of the late Victorian period. The fire surround has a very attractive appearance featuring pretty flowers and swags along the crossbar and there are leaf designs at the top of each leg. The surround has an egg and dart border under the mantel, with the addition of small leaves. The legs and crossbar have reeded detailing. The pine has a nice colour and grain. The fire surround could be paired with a cast iron insert or used for decorative purposes. The surround is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of use, as expected. There are some knocks, chips and splintering, especially to the edges of the mantel. The mantel has some marks and scratches and there are some small nails along the back edge. The pine has some marks and scratches. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a very elegant look and is ideal for a period home, making a fantastic addition to a fireplace.
