A handsome, reclaimed, oak door with glazed panels. The door has a nice design with 9 recessed panels at the base and 3 glazed panels above these. The panels have chamfered edges around them. The door has decorative iron studs. The top panels have been glazed with clear ripple glass but the glass will NOT MEET CUREENT SAFETY STANDARDS AND MUST BE CHANGED BEFORE USE. We can re-glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The oak has a varnish or stained finish but there are scratches, scuffs and marks and you may wish to sand and re-finish the door to suit. The door has a space for a letter plate. There is a lock but there is no key and therefore the lock will need replacing. The internal face of the door has a draft excluder that you may wish to remove.
The door is in good condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The oak has some knocks and chips out of it and there are some scratches and marks to the finish. The door has some holes, marks and notches left from hardware removal. The side edges of the door have some residue paint on them. The hinges have some residue paint and tarnish. The centre of the door has a 5mm bow and therefore the door must be fitted by an experienced fitter, please contact us if you require further information about this. The inside face of the door has some small holes at the top, perhaps from old woodworm. Please see pictures for the door condition details. The door has a handsome appearance and it would add great character to a home.
