SOLD

A pair of reclaimed, substantial, six panel painted pine doors that are likely to date to the mid Victorian era. The doors are solid and well made, with mortise and tenon joints and have an attractive and unusual design with three larger panels over three smaller panels. The recessed panels have bolection mouldings surrounding them. The doors have been painted white but there are some marks, stains, flakes and chips to the paint and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint the doors to suit. The doors were used internally but they could possibly be converted for external use, perhaps in a sheltered location. The doors are in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and use, as expected of antique items. There are some knocks and chips to the pine and there is some light damage to a base corner and one doors edge. The doors have some holes and marks where hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. One hole has been filled partially. One door has a baton at the top that can be seen and will need some further sanding in to make it less visible. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a very nice appearance and are of a substantial size, ideal for dividing a room. The doors are perfect for adding period character to a home.
