The fire is ornately designed with Art Nouveau style flowers along the crossbar and fine detailing on the attractive canopy smoke hood and ash pan cover. The fire has cream, blue and green tiles with an Art Nouveau style flower design repeated on each side of the fire opening. The fire has shaped front bars and the concrete back is intact. The fire has four fixing lugs for securing to the wall. The cast iron has been blacked and polished. The fire has a makers name on the back " Winther-Brown". The fire is in very good usable condition but has some slight signs of wear, as expected of reclaimed items. The back has surface rust as expected. There are some small knocks and chips to the edges of the tiles but no major breaks. Some slight staining and crazing to the tile enamel. The iron has some casting marks and pitting, especially to the smoke hood and cross bar. There are some small knocks and scratches. The fire is of an ideal size for a living, dining or larger bedroom and the Art Nouveau style makes it perfect for a period home.
PLEASE NOTE: The fire is very heavy and will need more that 1 person to lift it. Please ensure you have a suitable vehicle and enough people for collection.
