A reclaimed, antique, oak cupboard door. The door, likely to date to the late Georgian or early Victorian period, has a traditional design with six recessed panels with thick rails, some with bevelled detailing. The oak has a very attractive grain and the front face of the door has been sanded and waxed giving it a very nice colour. The door does have a rebated edge on each side, one edge has the rebate on the front face and one edge has the rebate on the back face. The rebated edges could be cut away by purchaser if required and hinge slots re-cut in as required. The cupboard door is in good solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. There are some scratches and small knocks to the oak. The back face of the door has a varnished finish with fading and scratching. The top of the door has been levelled leaving some splintering and chipping. The hinges have some tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The cupboard door is a good size and could be ideal for a kitchen or bedroom. The oak is of a good quality and the cupboard door is a lovely period item for adding character to a home.
