Code: FS0273
Dimensions:
A large, reclaimed, painted pine Edwardian fire surround. The surround has an ornate appearance with serpentine detail under the mantel with corbels and a shelf below it. The outside of the legs have fluted detailing and the fire opening has a border surrounding it. The fire surround is of a good size for a living or dining room, ideal for pairing with a fire inset. The pine has been painted white but there are knocks, chips and marks to the paint and you may wish to sand and re-finish the surround to suit. The fire surround is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The mantel has been made using two sections of pine and it has some lifting at the corners. There are some slight gaps to the moulding joins around the fire opening. The pine has some knocks and indentations. The sides of the legs are missing paint as the legs sat against skirting. Please see pictures for condition details. The surrounds elegant design makes it ideal for a period home and will make a very nice feature for a fireplace.
