Dimensions:
A large reclaimed decorative stripped pine fire surround. The surround is vintage, approximately 50 years old, and has a nice design. The surround has reeded barrel legs and a reeded and fluted barrel crossbar with bullseye corbels at each end. There is hand carved detailing with dentil moulding under the mantel and a pretty border around the fire opening. The pine has been stripped and has a nice colour and grain. The fire surround could be paired with a cast iron insert or used for decorative purposes. The surround is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of use and some damage, as expected of reclaimed items. There are some knocks and chips in the pine and there is some damage to the right hand side of the mantel (when looking at the surround) where it has been knocked. The mantel edges have some wear and small notches. The pine has some marks and discolouration. The fire surround has some holes where fixing screws were previously placed. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has an elegant look and is ideal for adding character to a fireplace.
