A very elegant, reclaimed, Victorian painted pine Cardiff door for internal or external use. The door has a pretty design with recessed panels on one face and flush panels on the other face. The door was originally hung with the flush panels on the external face and hinged on the right when looking at the door from the outside, opening inwards. We can add beading to the rebated panels, if desired, for an extra charge. Please contact us for details and a quote. The door has elegant gunstock stiles. The top half of the door has twelve panels for glazing, instead of the usual nine of a Cardiff door, making it quite unusual and interesting. There are two larger panels, four small square corner panels and six thin border panels. The centre panels are missing their glass. Please note, the remaining glass will NOT MEET CURRENT SAFETY STANDARDS and it MUST be changed. We can re-glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door is antique and has some signs of age and wear, as expected. The door has holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair larger holes for an extra charge, please contact us for a quote. The door has some surface cracks and splits, including to one panel. The pine has some knocks and chips. The hinges have surface rust. The paint has flaking and losses and purchaser will need to sand and re-finish the door to suit. The door width may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a very pretty appearance that would be fantastic for a period property and it will make a desirable item for the home.
