A super rare Stratton, England Miraclean powder compact. This powder compact was made in 1956 and features the Miraclean system which self cleans the internal mirror - cleaning any loose powder away every time you open and close the compact. The compact is made of brass and has a lovely black polka dot finish accented with a gold fleur-de-lys pattern. This lovely powder compact comes with the original sifter. There is the signature Stratton logo on the lid of the powder well.
The pattern on the lid has a couple of areas in two corners which are rubbed. There is an area of wear on the back - please see the photos for more information. The mirror has some silvering/fogging but this does not detract and the mirror is fully functional. The lid of the powder well closes with the firm click. The miraclean system works really well. The compact opens easily and closes with a firm click.
