Original 1950s Khaki Cotton Drill Shirt

Original 1950s Khaki Cotton Drill Shirt

Code: 52235

SOLD

An original khaki coloured cotton drill shirt dating from the 1950s and in exellent condition.

It is hard to pinpoint the exact origin of this shirt although it clearly dates from the 1950s. The buttons could suggest it is of European origina as could the large, slayed spearpoint collar shape. The full button front is typical of the 1950s and the heavy cotton drill material is also common to find during this period. It is quite possible that this shirt was tailored to an individuals specific request, hence the pleated patch pockets and scaloped pocket flaps.

The shirt is a smaller size which will suit a 40" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -

Chest - 22"
Inside arm - 18 1/4""
Outside arm - 22 1/2"
Shoulders - 17"
Length at front - 28 1/2"
Length at back - 31"
Collar - 17"

The shirt is in very good condition for its age and shows only very limited signs of wear and age. Please study the pictures before purchasing.

A nice original 1950s military style khaki drill shirt in great condition!
