These shorts are typical of those made during the Second World War and into the early 1950s. They features a double belt and buckle fastening to the front, the same as is found on 1941 pattern khaki drill shorts. The fly fastens with metal buttons and slash pockets are present to each hip. A single rear patch pocket can be found to the rear which fastens with the same style of button used on the fly.

Inisde the shorts the original owner has marked his name which reads 'B. CLODE'.

The short will fit around a 26" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat measure -

Waist - 13 1/4"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 17"
Inside leg - 7"
Outside leg - 20"
Cuff - 12"

The shorts are in reasonable condition for their age with some signs of wear and use. There is some staining as can be seen in the pictures but this may be removed with cleaning.

A good pair of mid century shorts with some great details!
