This is a very fine ship's decanter of the early 19th century. The broad base has an upper band of diamond cutting above two steps, while the base has a narrow band of slice cutting. The neck has four plain rings interspersed with panel-cutting, and the decanter has a target or bulls-eye stopper.
Like many early ship's decanters, this one is heavily made and of excellent clear colour. It is a very practical decanter and a considerable rarity. It is a decanter we were very happy to recommend.
