This charming label was made in 1809 by Elizabeth Morley - a well known maker of wine labels who was working in London either side of the year 1800.
The label is a small rectangle with a double reeded edge and surmounted by a disc engraved with a crest and the label is suspended by a chain. It is hallmarked for 1809, has the sterling standard mark and the duty mark, but the assay office mark is not present and obviously was never struck.
Dimensions: 1.45" , 3.7 cm wide
