For offer is a delightful 19th Century Thomas Parr Staffordshire Figure of Uncle Tom and Eva from Harriet Beecher Stowe's popular and influential novel Uncle Tom's Cabin.

It has the inscription  "Eva gaily laughing was hanging a wreath of roses round Tom's neck". 

In good condition with some rubbing of the inscription and of hands, feet and head of Uncle Tom and on Eva's arm as shown in the photographs.

Typically unmarked on the base.
