Early C19th near pair of mahogany Directoire fauteuils (open armchairs) in the manner of Jacob Freres. The scroll back with mahogany top rail; the uprights with carved shell motif and the arms terminating with well carved bold lions heads. The swept legs
terminating in carved paw feet. Beautiful rich colour and patina, newly upholstered in 'acid green' cut silk velvet and brass studs.
