A good large Regency Chinoiserie tole tray in rare and desirable green lacquer; the rectangular tray with rounded corners having a raised border of gilt foliage. The finely painted central scene profusely decorated in gilt with Chinese pagodas, bridges in a floral landscape with many interesting figures including a dog. The scene unusually highlighted with inset mother of pearl.

A fine example in good original condition commensurate of age and use.
