Good C19th pair of Chinoiserie lacquered tole tea canisters by John Bartlett; of unusual oval form and decorated in black and gilt.  The domed tops retaining their original lids and numbered 1 and 4, the fronts depicting a different Chinese scene of figures in a floral landscape; the backs with oval makers plaque (Bartlett & Sons Ltd Welsh Back, Bristol). Condition good with minor dents and distressing commensurate of age and use
