Although unsigned, this oil on canvas painting by the Swedish artist Jörgen Fogelquist (1927-2005) was recently part of the artist’s estate sale at auction. It is titled on the back Three Musicians. We include the auction label with it for provenance.

Jörgen Fogelquist (1927-2005) was a Swedish artist who trained in Stockholm in the 1950s. He developed an expressionist style suited to trying to capture movement in his paintings. He is well knows in Sweden for his public art, notably murals in public buildings.
