A Swedish rana — a handwoven tapestry. This rana has a detailed design including rows of people — known as gubbaväv. It is woven in wool on a linen warp wiht a dark brown background and many colours in the detail. It is 40cm wide and 55cm long, excluging the fringes which measure a further 10cm. The top is sewn back forming a channel for a slim rod.
