A stunning Victorian silver gilt sugar basket with a Bristol blue glass liner. Made by the Barnard Brothers in London in 1844. This basket is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs and the glass is undamaged as well. There are a full set of hallmarks on the base and part marks on the handle. The body is profusly cast with leaves and acorns.
