A stunning William IV ornate presentation silver snuff box, made in Birmingham in 1835 by Betts & Co. This box is as crisp as the day it was made, there is virtually no wear to the high points. The engine turning is sharp and wear free. The inscription reads "Presented to J.R.C. by F. Hobein 1874". The 15 part hinge is almost hidden and is tight, the lid closes well. The interior is gilded and hallmarked top and bottom. A truly amazingly good box.
