A beautiful castle top silver card case made in Birmingham in 1844 by Nathaniel Mills. It depicts Westminster Abbey in cast raised relief.The hinge is tight with on movement and the lid is very tight fitting. Unusually the full set of hallmarks are stamped at the bottom on the back. The whole case is covered with chaised and engraved flowers and swirles. This case is in exceptional condition and would grace any cillection. It has the letters "J McK" engraved in the cartouch on the back.
