A lovely George IV silver gilt pocket snuff box with an engraved family crest. The box was made in Birmingham by Thomas Shaw in 1823. It is engraved on all sides with very crisp wriggle work designs. The gilded interior has hallmarks on the top and bottom. The 7 part hinge is tight and the lid closes well. This is a lovely box with profuse engraving.
