SOLD

An early Victorian silver table snuff box. Made in London by Rawlings and Summers in 1838. All the the panels are engine turned and showing very little signs of wear. The interior is the original gilding and the base and lid are both hallmarked. The 12 part hinge is very tight and the lid closes well. There is no damage or repairs. This is an excellent example of the highest quality engine turning which would have been done on a lathe powered by a foot treddle.
