A beautiful heavy Victorian silver snuff box made in London in 1861 by Rawlings and Summers. This table snuff box is inscribed on the top "Presented to, Captain Wiltshire, Ship "NEWCASTLE", by the passengers who sailed from England, JULY 1860, As a mark of their esteem". The box is in exceptional condition with very crisp engraving all over. It has good gilding inside and is hallmarked top and bottom. The lid closes firmly and the hinge is tight. A great piece for any collector.
