An unusual Victorian silver three piece batchelor's teaset, made in Sheffield in 1883/4. It was made by John Newton Mappin whose business would later become Mappin and Webb. The teapot is of a bullet style with matching milk jug and sugar bowl. All three pieces are fully hallmarked and in excellent condition. Although called a batchelor's set it would comfortably accomodate tea for two people. It is a beautifully made set.
