A rare inverted pear style William IV silver teapot. Made in London in 1836 by John James Keith. This style of teapot is more often seen in the mid 18th century favoured by Scottish makers. It has a dark brown handle and finial as well as bright cut engraving on the upper part of the body. There is a family crest on the front and there are full hallmarks on the underneath and part marks on the lid. The lid fits well and there is no damage or repairs. A very pleasing teapot.
