A beautiful Victorian silver table snuff box in the Gothic style. It is exceptionally large and has a superbly tight 17 part hinge. It is fully hallmarked on the bottom and the lid for Aston & Son of Birmingham 1858. The box is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. There is no inscription on the lid and no erasures. The base has wonderful engine turning showing grapes and vine leaves.
