An incredably rare Newcastle silver lidded tankard by Issac Cookson. There are a full set of hallmarks for Newcastle 1748. The tankard is in great condition with no damage or repairs. The handle has original marriage initials (S, I*M) and also the makers mark for Issac Cookson. It is a solid well built tankard with a good handle and a silver hart on the bottom of the handle. An excellent example of English Provincial silver.
