Visited the excellent Elvington Air Museum again yesterday with a couple of friends. Sadly the uniform display room was locked - apparently due to theft. It won't be open again until security has been reviewed. We were also told that someone had been caught in a cockpit with some spanners about to attempt the removal of instruments. All rather depressing.... Still the best place to visit for an authentic wartime bomber base feel though...
