Stores reference 22c/62. One of the classic 'Battle of Britain' pattern goggles. The frame has a very slight upward curve but only light rubbing on exposed surfaces and is in very good overall condition. All frame screws are original, the centre hinge is good and both vent 'horns' and hinge stops are present. The velvet backing is undamaged/quite clean and the nosepiece leather is very good. Both original lenses show age and have surface scratches/scuffing but display well. The strap springs are good but there is a small neatly applied patch to the covering on one side. Excellent leather strap section with embossed Air Ministry King's crown, stores reference markings and faint '39' date code. A good '+' pair of increasingly scarce goggles. Stock code G27703.
