Overalls, Flying, Cold Weather, Jacket, Mk.1.  Size 6, stores reference 22c/1158.  Dating from the early/mid 1950s.  Blue grey 'ventile' cotton hooded aircrew 'parka' style jacket with a wool blanket lining.  It has a full length front zip with a buttoned storm flap, integral belt with alloy buckle and a typical parka 'fishtail' to button through the legs.  There is a large flapped map pocket on the left chest and buttoned pockets in the lower skirt area.  The generous hood is adjustable via wooden toggles.  The jacket was issued with matching blue grey trousers (hence the term 'overalls').  The cotton is in very good overall condition with only minor wear at the edge of the hood and cuffs, light soiling and fading.  Evidence of wing and rank removal on the left breast/epaulettes. Very good lining and complete with label and all buttons.  These early 'suits' are now very rare and desirable, especially in a big size.  If it is lacking from your collection don't delay!  Stock code S28068.

NB Jacket only, no trousers.
Approximate measurements : 25" pit to pit, 23" shoulder seam to cuff,  neck seam to hem of fishtail 35", neck seam to hem (fishtail buttoned inside) 29.5".
