Murano Pulegos glass three arm chandelier on brass frame creates fountain of the light. The clear glass scalloped shades of this elaborate lamp are mouth-blown and rest like torches in the brass frame. Barovier & Toso Murano Murano glass and brass circa 1930-40's.

Venetian Barovier family business has been in existence for over 800 years, since the 1940's they have been known as Barovier & Toso.



Pulegoso (Italian, from the dialect word pulega, “bubble”) glass containing numerous bubbles of all sizes, produced by adding bicarbonate of soda, gasoline, or other substances to the melt. The bubbles make the glass semi opaque and give the surface an irregular texture. Pulegoso was developed by Napoleone Martinuzzi (1892-1977) on the island of Murano, Italy, in the 1920's.
