Stunning antique Anglo-Indian large brass top table made by the School of Art, Jeypore during the late 19th century. This is quite possibly the best example of this type of table made. The brass top has been left in its naturally ozidised brass and not polished up to shiney breass as this keeps it more authentic.

The brass dish shaped top has a deep decorated border and an applied rope-twist design edge. The central section is a scolloped dish.

The hardwood base comprising 6 turned legs profusely carved with a repeating floral design. The cross braces are also highly carved sections with cross rails having multiple sections of brass banding .

The table forms a stable surface when together and would make an excellent coffee table. The top lifts off and the base folds for easy storage when not in use.

"School of Art, Jeypore" is engraved on the base of the brass top.
