The graffito: BONNEY(clearly visible in the work itself), is taken directly from a wall in the cloisters, where people used to queue to enter. To me, the name stands for everyman/everywoman, a memorial to ordinary people - as opposed to the grand memorials to grand people found throughout the cathedral.
