Antique Venetian mirror with re-entrant corners and decorative frame

Antique Venetian mirror, circa 1870, with re-entrant corners and curved top. The wide frame sections have scallop cut edges and particularly beautiful, intricate etchings of narural sprays of meadow flowers and leaves. Each corner is secured with a very unusual, narrow, tapering glass piece of stacked ovals which avoid covering any of the frame decoration. There is a little light age in the original, bevelled, central glass but the mirror still gives an excellent reflection. A lovely, elegant mirror, with superb quality workmanship.
